BS&B Type IPD explosion suppression systems use a lightweight modular design to deliver extinguishing agents into a rapidly developing fire to suppress it before reaching destructive proportions.
This system sense of the pressure wave ahead of the fireball developed by early stages of a dust explosion and allows a suppression cannon module to extinguish the flame inside this dust collector before it engulfs the process equipment and develops a dangerous pressure.
A typical system consists of a unified sensor, power supply module, system monitor and several explosion suppression “Cannons”.
